St. Bernard Parish Permit Requirements

Permits are only good for 6 months

State Requirement

Before Entergy can give clearance on a highway, waterway, for moving a house, etc. the state now requires a permit before the work can be done.

Electrical permit or inspection for one or more of the following:

New construction - temporary service
New construction - permanent service
Existing structure - if Entergy has to run a service line a permit is required
12 months vacancy for residential/commercial
Fire reconnect
Electrical code violation
Upgrades/Rewiring/Repairs
Meter pan/base or loop change/relocation
Mobile Home ---all turn on, installs & read only (except cut off for non pay)
Mobile Home ---movement
Emergency reconnect
