Central Permit Requirements

Within town limits Permit Office

Parish permit or inspection for one or more of the following:

Residential:

• New construction - temporary meter

• New construction - permanent meter

• Existing structure - if Entergy has to run a service line a permit is required

• Mobile home installs

• Mobile home movement and wiring

• Upgrades/rewiring/repair

Gas inspection for one or more of the following:

• All mobile homes connections

• New construction - permanent meter  

• Gas leaks

• Addition of gas lines

• Replacement of water heater or heating unit

• Inactive for 6 months or longer

Commercial:

• New construction - temporary meter

• New construction - permanent meter

• Existing structure - if Entergy has to run a service line a permit is required

• Mobile home movement and wiring

• Upgrades/rewiring/repair
