T. Michael Twomey - Vice President, Regulatory Affairs
T. Michael Twomey is vice president, regulatory affairs, for Entergy
Louisiana, LLC and Entergy Gulf States Louisiana, L.L.C. He directs regulatory
strategy and is responsible for the outcome of all matters involving the
companies at the Louisiana Public Service Commission.
Prior to his appointment to lead Louisiana regulatory affairs on Jan. 1, 2004,
he was assistant general counsel–regulatory for Entergy Services, Inc. working
on regulatory matters pending at the LPSC and the Federal Energy Regulatory
Commission.
Prior to joining Entergy in 2002, Twomey was senior regulatory counsel for
BellSouth in Atlanta with responsibility for various regulatory matters before
the state public service commissions in BellSouth’s nine-state region. In
addition to his experience with BellSouth, he was a litigation partner with
the New Orleans-based law firm of Jones, Walker, Waechter, Poitevent, Carrère
& Denègre, L.L.P.
A native of Norwich, Conn., Twomey received a bachelor of arts degree in
English from Tulane University and a law degree, with honors, from the
University of Connecticut.
He currently serves on the board of directors for the Urban League of Greater
New Orleans and the Shakespeare Festival at Tulane University. Twomey
previously served as a member of the board of directors of the New Orleans Pro
Bono Project and as a member of the board of trustees for Trinity Episcopal
School in New Orleans.
