Mark D. Kleehammer - Vice President, Regulatory Strategy
Mark D. Kleehammer is vice president of regulatory affairs for Entergy
Louisiana, LLC and Entergy Gulf States Louisiana, L.L.C. He directs regulatory
strategy and is responsible for the outcome of all matters involving the
companies at the Louisiana Public Service Commission.
Prior to taking on his new role on March 2, 2009, Kleehammer was the director
of Louisiana regulatory affairs for Entergy Louisiana and Entergy Gulf States
Louisiana.
Kleehammer began his career with Entergy in 1998 as a risk analyst with Risk
Management Services. From April 1999 to May 2000, he was an associate in the
Utility Finance group. He was promoted to manager of Transition Management in
May 2000, serving in that capacity until August of 2002, when he was named
manager of Regulatory Strategy. He assumed the position of director of
Louisiana regulatory affairs in 2004.
Prior to joining Entergy, Kleehammer spent two years at the Chicago Board of
Trade and two years in New York as a commodities trader.
Kleehammer earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and management from DePauw
University in 1990. He also holds a master’s degree in business administration
(with a concentration in finance) and a law degree from Tulane University. He
was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1998.
