Several sizes available for homes, businesses
Baton Rouge, La. – For many
Louisianans, keeping homes and businesses safe and secure is a top priority.
Now, Entergy Louisiana, LLC and Entergy Gulf States Louisiana, L.L.C. want to do
their part to help.
The companies are now offering
security lighting to residential, commercial and industrial customers behind the
theme of “For Peace of Mind, Light it Up!”
“Security lighting is an important
concern to our customers,” said Steven Scheurich, vice president of customer
service for Entergy Louisiana, LLC and Entergy Gulf States Louisiana, L.L.C.
“Thieves and burglars don’t like to go about their business where they can be
seen. We are very pleased to add security lighting to our business and bring our
expertise to bear for the benefit of our customers.”
Security lights begin with a 100-watt
high-pressure sodium light suitable for a home. High-pressure sodium floodlights
are also available in 100-, 400- and 1,000-watt sizes. Metal halide floodlights
that provide high-resolution color are available in 320-, 400- and 1,000-watt
sizes.
Customers are charged monthly for the
lights with the charge added to existing bills. The charges vary depending on
the light’s wattage and currently begin at about $10 per month. If a pole must
be installed, an additional fee will be charged.
No fee is charged for regular
maintenance and even if the light and pole are destroyed in a weather event,
such as a hurricane, it will be replaced free of charge to the customer.
“We use industry standard products,”
Scheurich said. “They are fully tested, weather-resistant and commercial-grade.
Our installers are fully trained electrical workers who keep safety first and
foremost in their work.”
